Because of this, I’ve had bone scans done several times since my diagnosis. Although I have minor age-related bone loss (I am shortly turning 60), I have nowhere near the expected problems. I attribute this to careful diet, including both lots of calcium-containing fresh farmers market greens and routinely drinking raw milk. Raw milk, as you know, is more thoroughly digested and has far more accessible calcium than regular Pasteurized milk.
I have been drinking raw milk whenever I could get it since I was young. Raw cow’s milk, and even raw sheep’s milk in Spain, when I was pregnant with my first (of 3) children. I have NEVER had a problem caused by drinking it, and can’t imagine why anyone would want to curtail it’s production. With careful monitoring already in place, the industry is clean, safe and serving a true need. If I had small children, I would want to provide raw milk to them. God willing, I will have grandchildren one of these days and will make sure they get the “good stuff” in their diets.
