Raw milk reduces risk of asthma and allergy. In a study of 14,893 children aged 5-13, consumption of raw milk was the strongest factor in reducing the risk of asthma and allergy, whether children lived on a farm or not.

Destruction of Built-In Safety Systems by Pasteurization

Known protective components in milk that are mostly inactivated by pasteurization. Pasteurization destroys built-in safety mechanisms of raw milk.
Lactose-intolerance: Private Study in Michigan
Raw milk can be consumed by those with lactose intolerance. Lactase enzyme that digests lactose milk sugar is destroyed during pasteurization. Survey showed 85% of those with lactose intolerance can drink raw milk without problem.

Premature babies given raw human milk gained weight faster than those given pasteurized human milk. Problems attributed to destruction of lipase enzyme due to pasteurization process.
J Pediatr Gastroeneterol Nutr. 1986 Mar-Apr; 5(2):248-253
Infants fed pasteurized human milk did not grow as well compared to those fed raw human milk.

Guinea pigs fed raw milk had excellent growth and no abnormalities vs. those fed pasteurized milk.
Cat Studies of Dr. Francis Pottenger, 1935-1940
Cats fed raw milk had better fur, tissue, and internal organs than those fed pasteurized milk.
Randleigh Farms Rat Studies, 1935-1940
Rats fed raw milk had better bones, fur, color, internal organs, and overall development than those fed pasteurized milk.

Growth better in boys receiving raw milk. Bias discovered in original conclusions that claimed no difference between raw and pasteurized milk. (See italics at bottom of first page of article.)
