Announcing the CReMA Website

Hollywood Rally Success • New CA Senate Committee on Food and Ag • Vote at Change.org

At long last, the CREMA website is born.

Please visit www.californiarawmilk.org regularly to keep up with the latest News, Health info, Legislative activities, and Real Stories about raw milk in CA. CREMA is setup as a California At-Large Chapter of the Weston A. Price Foundation and will continue to issue periodic online newsletters when our calls to lawmakers and attendance at hearings are needed. These actions were critical in passing our raw milk bill last year and will have a major impact again in the new legislative session. When 100s of consumers show up at a committee hearing wearing matching t-shirts, it is really hard for a lawmaker to cast a 'no' vote!

Your testimonials, pictures, and videos are still needed on the CREMA website. The more the better. Let’s show lawmakers and others interested in raw milk who we are and why we love it. We are the “Voice of California’s Raw Milk Consumers” so let us be heard! Email your testimonials or questions to us here.

Our Raw Milk Rally in Hollywood on Sunday, Jan. 11 was a huge success! Over 50 supporters came together to hear Mark McAfee, Maurice Kaehler and others speak about our favorite food. Many thanks to Maurice Kaehler, WAP Chapter leader Victoria Bloch, and others for organizing this event and raising over $2,000 to support CREMA’s activities. News report coming soon on CREMA website.

On Weds., Jan. 7, CREMA joined Mark McAfee of Organic Pastures and Senator Dean Florez and his staff in Sacramento to plan next steps for raw milk legislation in CA. As the new Senate Majority Leader and Chair of the newly-revamped Senate Committee on Food and Agriculture, Senator Florez is committed to moving forward with legislation to ensure that Californians continue to have access to clean, safe, healthy raw milk. As we are at the beginning of a new 2-year legislative session, we will take a comprehensive approach to a raw milk solution within the wider context of the challenges facing conventional dairies in CA. Stay tuned!

Please be sure to visit the new Food and Ag Committee's website at www.californiasafefood.com to submit your ideas and opinions for a new era for Food and Agriculture in CA.

Florez challenges CA Farm Bureau's agribusiness paradigm

Hanford, CA – Dean Florez, Kings County's Democratic state senator and Senate majority leader, sees agriculture shifting away from mass production toward smaller farming, local consumption and food safety issues. He went so far as to call the industrial food system "broken."
